How does the Boost je Buurt challenge work?
Three to four impact entrepreneurs will be selected for each of the seven city districts (stadsdelen). The selection takes place on the basis of criteria such as contributing to a relevant societal issue and a sound revenue model.
The entrepreneurship development program is supervised by Impact Hub Amsterdam and consists of workshops, e-learning modules and coaching sessions. Boost je Buurt participants will also get access to networks of the municipality, Impact Hub Amsterdam, and other challenge partners, as well as receive guidance in exploring these networks.
Once they have completed the entrepreneurship development program, the participants can campaign for the votes of fellow Amsterdammers. During the final, which takes place on the 17th of June, an expert jury, as well as Amsterdam residents, will choose the winners of the jury and public awards of € 2,500, € 5,000 and € 7,500.
