Our story
amsterdam&partners is a public-private foundation where 130 people work every day to create a liveable, attractive, prosperous, sustainable and inclusive metropolis of Amsterdam. A metropolis in which the diversity of people, cultural offerings, economic activities and nature are the pillars. A beautiful city and environment where more than 180 nationalities live and work together, and where freedom is based on respect for each other. Where commercial spirit goes hand in hand with creativity; the merchant and the artist.
Binding factor
We are the connecting factor for residents, visitors, companies, municipalities, provinces, cultural organizations, knowledge institutions, interest groups and entrepreneurs.Together with them, we contribute to and build a liveable, attractive, prosperous, inclusive and sustainable metropolis for generations to come.
Storytelling
We do this, among other things, by telling stories through our website and social media, through apps for products such as the Amsterdam City Card and through our network of content creators and influencers. We also publish magazines such as the Uitkrant and the I amsterdam City Guide and supporting print products surrounding our events. We are also physically present in the city and surroundings with our guides and the I amsterdam store. And meet us at trade fairs and conferences.
Expertise
At the same time, we share our expertise on the visitor economy, area identities, branding and new technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI) with our stakeholders, and use these insights to determine our own course.
Motto
I amsterdam is the motto adopted by the Amsterdam brand on the local, national, and international market. It is the slogan of Amsterdam locals and of the Amsterdam Metropolitan Area.
By consistently connecting I amsterdam to people, stories, events, happenings, and symbols, I amsterdam has grown into a well-known, strong, and internationally familiar motto. I amsterdam expresses the diversity, cohesion, and individuality of all Amsterdam locals. Together, we make up the Metropolitan Area that we love so much.
