After causing a stir with her one-woman, lo-fi debut album in 2009, singer-songwriter Merrill Garbus is back on the scene. Her follow-up album features less of the lo-fi, resulting in an even better platform for her astonishing voice.

The Cookers play in the tradition of hard bop: the explosive style that originated in the 50s as a response to the then massively popular cool jazz. The legendary jazzers have kept the hard bop vibe alive throughout the decades and still draw in the crowds.
