I amsterdam - What's On

On Monday 10 March 2008 the only film awards voted for by the Dutch public will be awarded. During the awards show, the winners of the awards will be announced. Iamsterdam is giving you a chance to be there.

Amsterdam and the House of Orange is an exhibition that surveys the ties which have bound Amsterdam and the House of Orange over the centuries.

The Jewish Historical Museum presents an exhibition on comics and graphic novels by Jewish artists from 7 March until 8 June 2008.

The Van Gogh Museum presents an exhibition on English painter John Everett Millais (1829-1896) until 18 May 2008.

From April 1 2008 the towers of Amsterdam’s Westerkerk and Zuiderkerk can be climbed once again, every day of the week except Sundays.

Amsterdam Fantastic Film Festival is for everyone with a passion for Fantasy, Anime, Thriller, Cult, Horror and Science-fiction films. The best in arthouse and mainstream films will be highlighted during the festival. 9-20 April 2008.

In Foam Photography Museum's new exhibition Expanding the City, various photographers present their take on Amsterdam’s business area Zuidas. 

The show introduces a cross-section of the Zuidas Virtual Museum’s Zoom Collection. A unique compilation of different perspectives on a construction site in development. Until 22 June 2008.

Saturday 17 May is the International Day against Homophobia. An international event will be held at the Homomonument in Amsterdam.
