Bikes
Amsterdam seems to be built for bikes, which are probably one of the most convenient and fun ways to get around the compact city with its narrow streets. Nearly half of all traffic movements in Amsterdam are by bike, so it makes sense to join in.
By Water

Schiphol Airport by Train
Train transport to and from Schiphol is convenient, simple and fast, with the Schiphol train station located directly below the main lobby of the airport.
Schiphol Airport by Taxi
Schiphol Taxis are available for transporting to or from Schiphol and can also be ordered in advance of your travel. Your taxi driver will then be waiting for you at the Schiphol Transfer Assistance desk (STA) at Schiphol Plaza.

Train Taxis
The Treintaxi (train taxi) is a typical Dutch form of transport, available at 110 train stations in the country (though not in Amsterdam). Passengers travel at a reduced rate to and from the train stations as they share the taxi with other passengers.
