This recently-renovated, covered, modern shopping center offers over 80 shops, 16 café’s and restaurants, and everything else from supermarkets to dry-cleaners…and plenty of space to get around it all. The modern design means wider doorways, disabled toilet facilities, and shopping ease -- only fifteen minutes away from Amsterdam center.

Stadshart Amstelveen Shopping Center, Amstelveen
This complete shopping centre offers standard, trendy and high-fashion labels, as well as a few original ones. Try ‘De Wereldwinkel’ for humane and responsible articles from third-world countries, ‘Oil & Vinegar’ for a tempting assortment (feel free to taste for yourself!), and several European and Dutch boutique brands such as The English Hatter, Sissy-Boy clothing, and Dr Adams’ shoes. Lastly, it’s conveniently located near the Cobra Museum of Modern Art (www.cobra-museum.nl), a fascinating museum designed by Dutch architect Wim Quist with its own impressive gallery, shop and café.
