Apple Store at Leidseplein

Apple has around 360 official stores worldwide, but the new location in Amsterdam will be the company’s first in the Benelux. Besides retailing the brand’s most popular products, such as the iPhone and iPad, Apple Stores are known for hosting workshops and providing specialist in-store technical help. This new development within the Hirsch Building also demonstrates Amsterdam’s pulling power for iconic international brands such as Apple and Mini.

This year marks the centenary of the fashion house Hirsch & Cie moving into the landmark building, which was designed especially to showcase its fashion. The company remained present on the corner of Leidseplein until the 1970s, when the regal building was converted into offices.
