A few organisations providing sport, recreation and activities in an international atmosphere.
Amsterdam Hash House Harriers
Amsterdam-based kennel of the international drinking club with a running problem.
Meeting weekly on Mondays at 7pm in the summer and on Sundays at 3pm in the winter - see www.harrier.nl for each week's location. If taking the opportunity to multi-task exercise with socialising with other expats who don't take themselves too seriously appeals, then 'hashing' is for you. Trails take about 45 minutes to an hour to complete, depending on the distance and the number of beer stops. Then we spend about 30 minutes dishing out the various 'punishments' before going on somewhere for dinner/drinks. All ages and ability levels (in both running and drinking!) are welcome.
