What to do in an Emergency
In an emergency you should telephone ‘112’. This will connect you to the fire, police and ambulance services. For a life-threatening illness or accident, a bed will be found immediately.  In a non-emergency, you huisarts will decide if hospitalisation is necessary and then makes the arrangements. For non-emergency admissions, the hospital will notify you when a bed is available. You will probably share a room with 1-3 people, though it is not unusual for up to 6 people to share a room.
