ACCESS
ACCESS is a not-for-profit organisation established in 1986 to bridge the gap between the international community and English-speaking services available in The Netherlands. They supply free information from an extensive database, offer publications, courses, events, a professional counselling referral service and run a free helpline: +31 (0)20 423 3217. ACCESS helps anyone from anywhere settle with ease in The Netherlands, orividing the following services:
- A telephone help line open from 10am until 4pm, where they can answer any questions such as where one can find a doctor, or a beautician, a sports club etc.
- One to one personal consultations
- Counseling referrals
- All services are free of charge.
ACCESS is a non-profit foundation staffed by over 160 committed volunteers from many countries. We have been providing free information and support in English for the international community in the Netherlands for the past 19 years. Our office in Amsterdam is situated on Herengracht 472.
In addition, access offers educational seminars such as childbirth preparation courses, workshops, support and practical publications on many aspects about living and working in the Netherlands.
ACCESS can offer volunteer job opportunities where one can maintain skills or learn new ones can in an office environment.
