Vijftien Bruggen (Fifteen Bridges)

Amsterdam's famous city centre boasts a bridge from which you can see no fewer than fifteen other bridges. To enjoy this unique view, stand on the corner of the Reguliersgracht and the Herengracht on the side of the street with the odd-numbered houses.

If you turn your back to Thorbeckeplein, you will see six arched bridges in a row. On the left-hand side, across the Herengracht, you will see another six bridges and an additional two on the right. But this is of course only fourteen bridges, the fifteenth is the one you are standing on.

Come evening, the view becomes even more romantic as the bridges are illuminated with hundreds of fairy lights.
