Het Grachtenhuis (The Canal House) is the obvious point of departure for visitors to the ring of canals. It houses an interactive exhibition on the nearly four centries old ring of canals. Het Grachtenhuis is the perfect 'base of operations' from which to discover and learn more about the most beautiful part of Amsterdam. Het Grachtenhuis, at Herengracht 386, can easily be reached by taking tramlines 1, 2 or 5 running between Leidseplein and Amsterdam Central Station.
