Design Shops

A design shopper’s paradise
Offering everything from contemporary design to vintage treasures; Amsterdam is sure to satisfy even the most cultivated shopper. For interior design visit large-scale stores De Kasstoor (Rozengracht 202-210) and Wonen 2000 (Rozengracht 219-223); or smaller scale shops with accessories and gifts, Nolita (Rozengracht 196) and Pol’s Potten (KNSM-laan 39).

Amsterdam also has plenty of original and experimental design boutiques. World-famous designers collective Droog Design has their own store, Droog@Home (Staalstraat 7a/b). Other fabulous places for design include Das Wella Warenhaus (Keizersgracht 300) and The Frozen Fountain (Prinsengracht 645). There are also several vintage design shops, which offer the classics as well as lesser-known designs from the 30s to the 80s.
A great example of this is in the Jordaan district, Anno (Westerstraat 35-37) and in the Pijp, Vintage Home (Daniël Stalpertstraat 97). Located in the Eastern Harbour area (Oostelijk Havengebied), Arrival/Departure (KNSM-laan 301) is a must for design enthusiasts.
