facilitates ‘peering’ among users of this non-profit data routing platform: major Dutch Internet Service Providers (ISPs) and big foreign ISPs. Also based here, NetherLight is the European hub for the ‘Little GLORIAD', a link in a secure, high-speed network specifically for scientific and academic users. It is the second largest optical Internet exchange in the world, with technology for network services optimised for high-performance applications and grid computing.
