I amsterdam - What is 'I amsterdam'?

‘I amsterdam is the motto that creates the brand for the city and people of Amsterdam. In saying or expressing I amsterdam, we demonstrate a clear choice for the city of Amsterdam. I amsterdam shows our pride, our confidence and our dedication. I amsterdam is our personal endorsement for our city. Why 'I amsterdam'?
After preliminary research indicated that the motto was an eye-catching and inspiring theme adhering to Amsterdam's strengths, 'I amsterdam' was selected to be launched in Amsterdam and the Region and will be panned out globally over the coming years. The concept was devised by advertising agency KesselsKramer and has been registered as a trademark.

A Collaborative Initiative
The new policy entails that Amsterdam devises and implements its city marketing in close collaboration with the Region and its business community. All city marketing activities are unified in Amsterdam Partners.

Who Uses the Motto?
The motto has been adopted by the Amsterdam Partners foundation and its members, including the City of Amsterdam, the City's Economic Development Department Foreign Investment Office , the Amsterdam Tourist and Convention Board, the Amsterdams Uitburo, and Amsterdam Airport Schiphol as well as by partners from the business community and the public sector, in conjunction with their respective house styles.
