I amsterdam - Amsterdams Uitburo

The AUB – a combination of a foundation and not-for-profit organisation – rests on main pillars of operation: information distribution and ticket retail. These activities have the following goals:

• Consumers are thoroughly informed about the city’s broad cultural selection through a broad range of services and products. 
• By providing easy and quick access to tickets, the AUB can increase the amount of public interest, attendance and use of the broad cultural selection.

All services and products provided by the AUB are developed in conjuncton with arts organisations throughout the city, such as theatres, concert halls and podiums, museums, troups, governmental offices and cultural organisations.  This way, the supply of and demand for cultural activities remain consistent.

Unique Retail Position
The Amsterdams Uitburo has a unique position in the ticket sales arena – it is the only non-commercial, and thus independent, ticket retail organisation in the Netherlands. This allows the general public to have access to tickets for almost all theaters and events in Amsterdam.

Productions & Festivals
Further, the Amsterdams Uitburo facilitates  sales for larger productions and festivals, such as De Parade, Museumnacht, Cirque du Soleil and the Holland Festival. It also provides co-ordination and promotional activity for the city’s annual opening of its cultural season, the Uitmarkt.

• Subscription service:the AUB also offers a subscription service for pre-sales before the opening of a new season.
