Amsterdam et ses environs abritent pas moins de huit restaurants titulaires d’une étoile Michelin. C’est bien le signe de la révolution gastronomique qu’a connue Amsterdam ces dernières années.
Cuisine Hollandaise
Même si le rapport qualité-prix est généralement correct, il faut bien avouer que ces restaurants ne sont pas toujours bon marché.Les alternatives ne manquent heureusement pas pour les gastronomes au budget plus modeste. En matière de cuisine, Amsterdam est incroyablement cosmopolite. On y trouve en effet des restaurants italiens, espagnols, thaïlandais, chinois, tibétains, népalais, éthiopiens, etc. pour ne citer que quelques exemples. Choisissez un pays et il y a de fortes chances pour que vous puissiez en savourer la cuisine à Amsterdam.
Il existe aussi de nombreux restaurants végétariens ou bios d’excellent niveau. C’est d’ailleurs un domaine dans lequel Amsterdam se distingue nettement des autres grandes villes européennes.
Amsterdam est aussi une ville de snacks. Il n’existe aucune ville au monde offrant un tel choix de snacks et restauration rapide tard le soir ou au milieu de la nuit, en sortant d’un club.
Dans le centre ville, on trouve pratiquement à tous les coins de rue un kebab ou un falafel par exemple. Mais vous pouvez aussi essayer un FEBO, où les snacks (généralement frits) sont placés dans des distributeurs.
