De Engelenbak is the ultimate professional stage for amateur drama. The focal point in the Engelenbak is the encounter between professional and amateur theatre makers, whereby the quality of the performance is decisive. The name De Engelenbak (literally: gallery of angels), originates from the theatre and refers to the upper gallery in a theatre. Here one is seated so high that one can almost touch the angels. De Engelenbak only does amateur theatre and rents out studios. Tuesday night is so-called "open mike" night. All you need to do is register in advance and the stage is yours.
