Craft & History Experience is a craft centre where you can become acquainted with various traditions such as; wooden shoes, cheese, chocolate, mini Dutch pancakes and syrup waffles. All these typically Dutch traditions can now be experienced at one and the same location in Amsterdam. The craft centre has a very special nautical bar, it which typical Dutch drinks are served and which features its own “red light district”.
The experience also includes a very special attraction. Take your place and travel back in time. You'll meet Rembrandt for example, and watch the opening of Amsterdam's famous Vondel Park. You'll also see how Amsterdam was developed, when the dam was built over the Amstel River, while ships of the Associated East Indian Company arrive and depart. All under the watchful eye of Captain Q and his sidekick Mrs. Lovely. What an experience.
The Craft & History Experience is easily reached by boat. Of course, the location can also be readily reached by bus, bicycle, car, water taxi and public transport. The experience is only 200 metres from Central Station.
