Dauphine

Prins Bernhardplein 175
1097 BL AMSTERDAM
Barrio: Southern

A former Renault garage right near the Amstel station has been turned into Café-restaurant Dauphine – which is also the name of a Renault car from the 50s. This vast space is now cool and business-like with burnt orange leather couches, white pillars and a monumental amount of glass. This is a real brasserie: one can’t get enough of the dishes of fruits de mer, steak with fries, half lobsters and pans of mussels. Customers range from boys in business suits to women beautifully dolled up.
