Covering 35 kilometres, the City Archive (Stadsarchief) keeps all documents that are important to the history of the city of Amsterdam. These range from decisions by mayors of former centuries and the correspondence of an Amsterdam merchant to the photos of Jacob Olie and early recordings of the Concertgebouw Orchestra.
