AIFW: Winter DOWNTOWN edition
The winter edition of Amsterdam International Fashion Week's DOWNTOWN events struts the streets from 25 to 29 January 2012. Kick off those Ugg Boots and brush down that faux fur, darlings, because winter has never been so hot.
Downtown: everything's great
The Amsterdam International Fashion Week (AIFW) returns to the Westergasfabriek at the end of January, highlighting the hottest in cooler climes clothing for the winter edition with runway shows and salons catering to the exclusively invited.
However, the DOWNTOWN events expose the best bits of winter to the general public with catwalks in fashion outlets, clubs & bars, museums and where fashion belongs, on the Amsterdam streets.
Shows, exhibitions and events
The 2012 show programme is sure to boast more surprises than the outfits at a Lady Gaga gig and won't just highlight catwalk shows, but also pop up stores, markets, art and photograph exhibitions.
