The holiday season ballet

The classic story centres around a realistic-looking doll created by Doctor Coppelius. The doll is so lifelike that it catches the eye of a young villager, distracting him from his true love, Swanhilda. Chaos ensues when Swanhilda dresses up as Coppelia in an effort to get him back. In this modern adaptation, directed by Ted Brandsen, the laboratory is a plastic surgeon’s clinic and the village is a sports school.
