Classical music festival

After all, today’s grand piano has only existed in its current form since the 20th century, with the harpsichord’s development into the piano making giant leaps in the 18th and 19th centuries. The Geelvinck-Hinlopen Huis is devoted to preserving the tradition of the harpsichord and allowing music lovers the chance to hear great classical composers’ works the way they were conceived. Alongside these time-honoured works, the festival also presents up-and-coming talents and contemporary compositions.

Check the Geelvinck Fortepiano Festival website for tickets and information on individual performances.
