Brazilian dance: sensual and fun

Forró is the popular dance music of northeast Brazil, driven by accordion riffs and a tinkling triangle. The Amsterdam festival is dedicated to the forró dance style – a fast, fun, sensual partner dance with fancy footwork, swirling skirts and swivelling hips. The festival promises three days of dance, live bands, performances, DJs and parties. There will also be workshops with teachers from all over Europe and Brazil, and the festival’s organiser, Brazilian dance teacher Juliana Braga. For more information see Forro.
