A rare glimpse of Amsterdam in 1900
The introduction of photography coincided with an interesting time in Amsterdam’s history. The ports were bustling, industry was booming, and social inequality was becoming more apparent. The exhibition Amsterdam 1900 tells the stories of local people, wealthy and poor, through a collection of more than 300 photos.
