An unusual, welcoming art gallery in Amsterdam

Posing the direct opposite to cold white cube galleries, Franzis Engels Gallery is spread out across a four-floor house in the centre of Amsterdam and redefines the concept of hospitality. Spread out across a four-floor house in the centre of Amsterdam, the gallery is entered through the kitchen, where visitors are welcomed by gallery owner Franzis Engels. From the kitchen, visitors walk through the living room and office before entering the actual gallery space. The art on display matches the environment and is displayed beautifully in every corner of the house. Wandering around is a cultural experience that takes in more than a hundred pieces of art. The collection is renewed every two months.
