Beyond the forts

Fort Island IJmuiden is located at the mouth of the North Sea Canal, forming a key part of the Defence Line of Amsterdam. The vast fortress is replete with a variety of historic rooms that cover all your meetings and events needs. For example, the Koepelzaal is a candlelit delight for banquets, while the Pantsergallerij, next door, can host any entertainment of your choice. You and your guests can also take a tour of the island or head out onto the water in a RIB boat.

Fort Island Pampus is another fabulous attraction in its own right, let alone a dazzling spot for a meeting or event. Impress your guests with a journey to the island on a historic sailing ship, or sail to the island on your own vessel. The former water tank area in the centre of the fort can host up to 80 people during presentations, as well as being transformed into a spectacular party space. While the Pampus Pavilion can hold a maximum of 200 guests and has a stunning terrace with breath-taking views over the IJsselmeer and the skyline of Amsterdam.
