Zaanse Schans

Situated just north of Amsterdam, this village with its traditional green wooden houses and windmills dates back to the 18th century. Watch traditional craftsmen at work making clogs and cheese or visit the Bakery Museum from 1658.

Edam

Edam, commonly referred to as the ‘pearl of the Zuiderzee’, is a picturesque medieval town. Stroll along the beautiful canals and visit its historical buildings, such as the leaning Carillon tower and the Great Church. You’ll also have the opportunity to taste the city’s world famous cheese at the Edam Museum.

Volendam

This fishing village with its bustling harbour has been a tourist attraction since 1875. Take in the 17th-century buildings and see the locals in their traditional Dutch clothing.
