Dinner cruises
Perhaps you’d prefer to enjoy a festive dinner with Amsterdam’s famous canals as your backdrop. The canals are especially gorgeous after sundown, when the bridges twinkle with thousands of lights. During the winter season, Blue Boat Dinner Cruises depart every Saturday evening. Rederij Lovers also offers a special dinner cruise every day of the week throughout the winter.
Festive Christmas and holiday dinners in Amsterdam
For many, Christmas dinner is the highlight of the holiday season. Especially if you’re far from home, a delicious dinner with loved ones is the perfect way to put yourself in the holiday spirit. Belgian restaurant Lieve has an afternoon matinee programme on both 25 and 26 December (great for kids!), as well as delicious, multi-course Christmas dinners in the evening. The luxurious Hotel Pulitzer has a gourmet Christmas dinner on 24 December, and offers both lunch and dinner on 25 and 26 December. The College Hotel is celebrating with a Christmas dinner on 25 December, as well as a special New Year’s breakfast on 1 January.
