If you are arriving in Amsterdam by plane or already in the city centre, there are two official I amsterdam Visitor Centres ready to help you out!

The I amsterdam Visitor Centres are great places to arrange hotel reservations, book excursions or package tours, pick up tickets for events, maps, brochures and souvenirs. You can also purchase the I amsterdam City Card there, with the friendly staff able to suggest the best deal for your stay and to present the latest special offers.

Please be advised that the I amsterdam Visitor Centres do not accept €200 or €500 notes. All major credit cards are accepted. 


Reservations online or by email


Browse and book hotel accommodation for your stay directly on the I amsterdam website. A comprehensive list of hotels in the Amsterdam Metropolitan Area can be found on our site. Simply click through to each hotel’s information page and use the accommodation form at the top to select your desired dates. Alternatively, use the ‘Book Your Stay’ search function on the I amsterdam homepage, which allows you to search by hotel or by area.

Book a fun activity or excursion directly on the I amsterdam website. Visit our excursion pages and browse the many boat tours, cycling & walking tours, city tours, museums and much more. Simply click the ‘Book now!’ button at the top of each excursion, activity or exhibition page.

Free-standing tourist information touch-screens

Tourist information touch screens are a great way to discover things to do in the surrounding area. These can also be used to chat with an employee at the official call centre (during opening hours) and receive immediate answers about available accommodation or excursions. You can find the touch screens at the following locations:

  • Inntel Hotels Amsterdam Zaandam
  • Kerk, Kerkplein 13, Broek in Waterland.

There are also VVV i-points at all the Park & Ride locations in Amsterdam.
