Amsterdam Metropolitan Area

Amsterdam Metropolitan Area

For the visitors who’ve already seen the beautiful canals, visited the highlights, pioneered the Jordaan and got the hang of our never-ending nightlife… Here’s news for them: Amsterdam is bigger than they think! There is plenty more to experience. The Amsterdam Metropolitan Area offers a great variety of products for your programme.

Go on Safari at the Oostvaardersplassen

Foxes at the Oostervaardersplasen

Within 20 minutes from Amsterdam lies the manmade land of Flevoland, the newest province of the Netherlands. Over the years – quite unexpectedly – a unique nature reserve has developed in Flevoland: the Oostvaardersplassen. Nature lovers will love strolling around this internationally renowned nature preserve, gazing at a wild array of wetland life. Try to spot bald eagles, buzzards, cormorants, Heck cattle, Konik horses and red deer, depending on which of four different tours you choose. You and your clients can now go on safari in this stunning area.
