Staatsliedenbuurt Branch Amsterdam Public Library (OBA Staatsliedenbuurt)
The Staatsliedenbuurt branch of the Amsterdam Public Library is located in Amsterdam’s Westerpark area near the Jordaan. The library houses a varied collection of over 150 magazine titles and over 25,000 books and other items offering everything from graphic novels to travel guides. Visitors can take their time exploring the collection from the branch’s coffee shop or many work and study areas. The collection includes reading materials for all ages, from the BoekStart beginner reader collection for babies, to large print titles for seniors.
Various exhibitions and readings/debates
The library is also home to an exhibition wall with an ever changing array of exhibitions by local artists. Activities include regular readings in Nassaukerk organised together with the Island Bookstore and children’s activities aiming to highlight the collection.
