You will have been here before: and that’s because Stamppotje is IJscuypje’s wintry brother. It’s a genius business concept, really – the locations where Stamppotje sells its steaming, winter-saving wares are the same ones where you’d stop by to get your regular fix of delicious ice cream in the summer. The stamppots (hearty stews from mashed potatoes and vegetables, often served with a meat side) on offer range from the traditional – endive, sauerkraut, kale – to the more experimental, with ingredients including pumpkin, wild spinach and cheese or leek.
