Hesp
On Weesperzijde, one of the cities older cafes sits in two adjoining spaces. Hesp (since 1890) is on the one hand a brown café with sixteen beers on tap and many wines by the glass on the other hand it is a restaurant with affordable, simple dishes. It's a great place to be in the summer: from the terrace on the Amstel you can see countless boats passing by.
