World Minimal Music Festival Warm Up

Steve Reich

This warm up concert for the World Minimal Music Festival in 2013 sees Asko|Schönberg, Ensemble Klang and Lunapark perform mesmerising minimal works by artists including Brian Eno, Steve Reich, Terry Riley and Kate Moore.

Premiere performances

DJ/producer Tom Trago completes the evening by connecting the performances using live samples and remixes. The evening includes the first live performances of two influential ambient/minimal classics: celebrated solo album Discreet Music by Brian Eno and the legendary A Rainbow in Curved Air by Terry Riley.

A taste of 2013

Pulitzer Prize winner Steve Reich's Double Sextet is also on the menu and there'll also be minimal music by young Australian composer Kate Moore. And with music collective 22Tracks taking care of the entertainment before and after the main event, this is set to be a packed evening offering a delightful taste of things to come in 2013!
