Kyteman (the stage name of trumpeter Colin Benders) rose to fame with his Hip-hop Orchestra in 2009, winning a host of awards including an Edison, a Silver Harp and a 3FM Award. After a sold-out tour and successful performances at a range of festivals, Kyteman decided that it was time for a change of direction and disbanded his orchestra in 2010.
Shortly after, Benders delved into his next project, heading back to the studio to produce an album together with 7 friends and fellow musicians in just 5 days. Kyteman returned to the studio with his orchestra in 2012, releasing an album in spring, in advance of his tour.
