The Cranberries

Cranberries - Image:
Irish legends
Although the Cranberries never actually officially split, the frequency of gigs has dwindled in recent years. That was until an intimate Dublin gig in 2009 when the group rediscovered some of the energy of the early years. See them back on top form at Amsterdam's Heineken Music Hall on 23 March, 2010.

Early Zombies
The Cranberries breakthrough came with 'Linger', penned by lead singer O'Riordan. The song, taken from their debut album Everybody Else Is Doing It, So Why Can't We achieved huge popularity in the States before music lovers on the other side of the Atlantic also started to catch on.

Hitting the big time
The angry protest song 'Zombie', a demonstrative rally against sectarian violence in 1990s Northern Ireland, rocketed them to the international stage and the album No Need to Argue received an equally warm reception with songs 'Ridiculous thoughts' and 'Ode to my Family' also charting highly.
