Super Normal

Amsterdam's Appel Arts Centre presents an exhibition of work by Norwegian artist Bjarne Melgaard. Super Normal runs from 19 June to 5 September.

Melgaard works from the mental perspective of Rod Bianco, a fictional character that can also be seen as a production unit.

Subcultures

Melgaard's interest in (often controversial) subcultures and occupations earlier took him into the worlds of Black Metal, violent homosexuality and sadomasochism. Again, he shows no fear of the 'abnormal' - no reputations are spared and no taboo avoided.
