Sunset Rubdown

Fans of Montreal's Wolf Parade will instantly recognise the wails of Spencer Krug in Sunset Rubdown, his side-project that has elapsed his original band in LP releases. Wild and unrefined, while comparisons to Wolf Parade are obvious, they also take cues from Bowie to Tapes N Tapes, Modest Mouse and even the ivory-tinklings of Tori Amos.

DragonSlayer
This year's album, Dragonslayer, their fourth since 2005, not including two EPs, has garnered them widespread acclaim in established magazines like Rolling Stone and SPIN where they had once been the darlings of small fan-based music blogs.

Live
Now well and truly beyond a bedroom-solo project the band consists of members of the Montreal Indie-elite, Camilla Wynne Ingr formerly of Pony Up!, Jordan Robson-Cramer of Miracle Fortress and Magic Weapon and Michael Doerksen of Deep Sleepover and Mark Nicol, all of whom get various instrument credits so expect plenty of swapping and changing on stage to keep things interesting.
