What is usually a band's best record? Exactly: the first or the second. It was the most original one. That was when the fires were still raging and the blood still boiling.

Sonic Connections
That pioneer spirit has to come back - and the vehicle for it is called Sonic Connections, the three-day festival in de Brakke Grond where the latest of the latest from the pop and rock world from Flanders and the Netherlands can be heard. Four bands every night, surprise acts & DJs. Sonic Connections is rock, post-punk, indie, singer-songwriter, electronics and avant-garde: a festival for everybody who connects at the right pitch.

Highlights
The Flemish band Motek is an audiovisual collective and produces film-maker rock music: adventurous, melodious, gripping and enchanting. After China, it can finally be seen in Holland.

LPG
LPG from Holland gives the audience a blindfolded experience, with glorious and melodious pop songs with polyphonic vocals and unexpected turns.

Dijf Sanders and Johannes Verschaeve
The Belgian musicians Dijf Sanders and Johannes Verschaeve (from The Van Jets) will play together for the first time exclusively for Sonic Connections.
