Something Raw

Something Raw, Eleanor Bauer, A Dance for the Newest Age

The Something Raw Festival for young choreographers returns to Amsterdam's Frascati Theater and the Brakke Grond for its 11th edition.

Making waves on the dance scene

Each year, Amsterdam's Flemish cultural centre De Brakke Grond and the Frascati Theater host the Something Raw festival, which presents fresh work by young, international choreographers that are currently making waves on the contemporary dance and performance scene.

Expressing cultural developments

The choice of artists invited to the festival is inspired by current social, cultural and political developments around the world. Tying in with the ever-growing importance of social networks and online communities, the performances on offer all creatively play with the boundaries between the individual and the collective.
