Raw Rhythm Festival

Hip hop, reggae, house, drum n bass and soul; they all come together for Amsterdam's Raw Rhythm Festival, where the deep bass and the heavy drums blasting out the sound system penetrate right through you.

UK grime MC Dizzee Rascal headlines the festival on Friday - his new single 'Bonkers' featuring Armand Van Helden has gone, well bonkers in the UK. Local DJ-done-good Chuckie brings the noise and collaborates with Atlanta's finest hit maker Lil Jon for Saturday's headline act. Elsewhere neo-soul and deep funk singer Alice Russell will cut a fine groove. Lamb and Roni Size will remind us why we love trip hop and drum 'n' bass respectively. Dutch hip hop represents with De Jeugd van Tegenwoordig, Zwart Licht and Fakkelbrigade. Chicago's jazzy hip hop outfit Hypnotic Brass Ensemble bring the horns, German singer Nneka brings sultry soul while many more will bring their respective bag of tricks.
