Raphael Saadiq

Raphael Saadiq

The star of old-school r&b comes to Amsterdam - prepare for a swingin' night!

Man behind the scenes and solo artist

Raphael Saadiq has been around for a while. He first rose to fame in the early-to-mid 90s as a member of the soul and r&b group Tony! Toni! Toné!. His first big hit as a solo artist was 'Ask of You', which brought his brand of old-school, swinging r&b to heavy rotation on radio stations and music TV around the world. He also produced for artists including TLC, Joss Stone, D'Angelo, Mary J. Blige and John Legend.

The Way I See It

But Saadiq's career took a further step up with the release of 2008's The Way I See It. His third album solo, it featured collaborations with the likes of Stevie Wonder, Jay-Z and Joss Stone and received three Grammy nominations. He released album Stone rollin' in 2011 and now brings his tunes to Amsterdam's Paradiso: don't forget to pack your dancing shoes!
