New Cool Collective

New Cool Collective

The 19-piece big band play a sweeping December show in Amsterdam's Melkweg, ending the festive season on a swinging note.

From jazz to boogaloo

The much-loved Dutch big band are known for their unique mix of jazz, dance, Latin, salsa, Afrobeat and boogaloo. Whether they perform with their full 19-piece formation or in the compact version of eight musicians, the Cool Collective are sure to get everyone's feet moving.

All around the world

And the New Cool Collective are far from showing any signs of becoming weary. They've been going since 1994 and have toured extensively and all over the world, playing shows in Europe, Canada, Russia and Japan. In the course of their career, they've also collaborated with a wide range of musicians, from Kenian Mapacha Africa through the Cuban Los Papines to Nigerian drummer Tony Allen, Fela Kuti's Afrobeat sidekick.

Swinging towards the new year

In short, this is the ideal show for both ending the festive season on a swinging note and for getting prepared for New Year's Eve. Get dancing!
