My Neighbour, My Killer

In 1999, the Rwandan government began 'Gacaca': a social form of justice in which victims come face-to-face with offenders. These sessions are designed to help the victims deal with their grief and stimulate reconciliation. In her film, Aghion examines how victims and offenders are affected by the Gacaca: is it imaginable to forgive the people who wiped out your family?
