Modest Mouse

Modest Mouse

Firm place in the indie rock canon

In the eyes of their many fans, Modest Mouse have long earned a firm place in the indie rock canon. They've been going strong since the early 1990s and built a steady fan base in the process, but it was not until after almost ten years that the band achieved mainstream success.

Final international breakthrough

2004's album Good News for People Who Love Bad News marked the band's final international breakthrough. In the Netherlands, the band's most recent shows took place in 2007. They featured none other than Johnny Marr (yes indeed, he of The Smiths), who joined the band between 2006 and 2009.

New material

According to singer Isaac Brock, Modest Mouse are currently working on new material, but it's not clear yet whether they will perform new songs on the upcoming tour. But with five completed albums in tow, they certainly won't run out of tunes.
