The exhibition Marvellous Miracles shows Bible stories seen through the eyes of artists with an mental disability. The result is intuitive, creative art. Bible stories are translated into colourful and unusual paintings with a personal touch and strikingly portrayed.

Source of inspiration

'Marvellous Miracles' shows outsider art by artists of the Amerpoort care organisation, who paint on a daily basis in the Jans Packhuys studios. Their source of inspiration are Bible stories from the Old and the New Testament read to them, as well as well-known biblical representations by old masters.

Unique perspective on Bible stories

A selection of more than a hundred works is now on display in the major sales exhibition in the Biblical Museum. Discover the exceptional world of people with mental disabilities and their unique perspective on Bible stories.
