The Amsterdam dance festival Loveland is back in town on 13 August at Sloterpark and if previous editions are anything to go by, we're in for a treat! With over 50 international DJs including Sven Väth, Carl Craig and Tiefschwarz spread over eight stages, it's a major event on the summer dance calendar.

Dance music and Holland go together like rock and roll. Making the most of their short summer the Dutch are nuts for the 'doof-doof' of outdoor dance festivals. And rightly so, why should Ibiza get all the fun when the Netherlands has done so much for the musical movement. So it seems that every weekend there's another festival - but not many are as big as this one.

Loveland big names

With over 50 internationally renowned DJs spread across eight stages, the line-up has the freshest names from the local scene - such as Secret Cinema, Tom Trago & San Proper and Melon - as well as legends in the game: Sven Väth, Carl Craig, Tiefschwarz and, for the locals, Sander Kleinenberg and Joost van Bellen.
