Lou Reed - From VU to LULU

View:
Lou Reed - From VU to LULU

Lou Reed comes to Amsterdam as part of his 'VU to Lulu' tour, which takes the audience on a trip through his - and, for some, their - history.

Revolution with a snarl

There are few musicians that have more reason to present a musical overview of their career than Lou Reed. From revolutionalising rock music by injecting a snarling garage sound and a dose of psychedelia as part of The Velvet Underground, through singing 'Walk on the Wild Side' and 'Perfect Day', to concept albums such as 1973's Berlin, the man sure has done a lot. Reed's recent record Lulu is a collaboration with Metallica.

The Velvet Underground

While The Velvet Underground, perhaps fortunately, never became superstars, their few albums were hugely influential. And they also remain cornerstones in their fans' record collections.

Return

On his upcoming tour, Lou Reed will offer a musical trip through all the highlights. It'll be his first visit to the Netherlands since 2007, when he was here for his Berlin tour, to mark the album's 30th anniversary. Fans old and new are sure to flock to Heineken Music Hall for the show so be sure to grab your ticket on time!
